Opportunities to get involved

Acting

We are working on the National Theatre Connections programme which will involve sessions on Monday evenings from September 4th at 7 till 8.30pm and the sessions are £7.50.

After Christmas that group will split and we will add a 6 till 7.30 session that will work on the same project.

 

Musical Theatre

On January 10th we will be performing at the Sue Townsend theatre celebrating our 5th anniversary and the rehearsals are 12.30 till 2 on a Sunday and run through the holidays. This does require an audition. The session is £7.50. When our main production "Les Miserables" is concluded we will organise a show fee instead of weekly fees.

Dance

Thursday

5pm to 7.30pm Ballet/Tap/Modern class for musical theatre people looking to gain the skills needed for most higher education in the arts.

 

We will soon be casting Our House the Madness musical for a show in March and then Cats next September.

​Children are never too young to gain life skills, Our young talent programme is the ideal introduction to theatre. Singing and acting, dancing, drama and much more. Ideal for young children between the ages of 2 and 8, our theatre skills classes for youngsters enhance confidence, encourage social development and inspire creativity whilst starting technical training in performing arts.

Classes are carefully planned to ensure variety and structured so that students never get bored. Designed specifically for the performing arts needs of early years school children, the environment is creative and exciting and with small class sizes the kids can get the most out the experience whilst making new friends.

Singing Lessons

Using fun age appropriate show tunes the children will be inspired to enjoy the world of musical theatre whilst learning the discipline and techniques involved in choral singing. Improving diction and vocal techniques are vital for young singers, private lessons are also available.

Dance Lessons

Classes are made to be fun but also start the learning of vital techniques that will allow for grades to be taken on later. Strength, balance and co-ordination are very important at this age and are focused on.

Acting / Drama Lessons

Creativity is key to young people being able to start to explore improvisation and basic acting techniques. They will be encouraged to have fun with the acting classes to develop self-confidence and learn to be supportive of each other. Vocabulary and the understanding of text will also begin here. We also crucially have no age limit to moving between classes as the children will naturally progress when they are ready.
